WINGS hosts an annual Women's Lenten Retreat that is open to all women, those from our parish and others as well, space permitting. This is a day to deepen our faith, enrich our Lenten experience, and also to enjoy some fellowship with new and old friends. This is not a fund-raising event, but we do take donations to go to a worthy cause, defined by the committee.
This committee plans the annual Women's Lenten Retreat. They are responsible for defining the theme, inviting the speaker, reserving the space, planning the day (agenda, refreshments, etc.), publishing information to invite women to the event, maintaining the guest list, providing leadership on the day, identifying the recipient of donations, and many behind-the-scenes tasks to make the day successful.
The Easter Egg Hunt is a fun activity for the children. All children in the parish are invited, in addition to family and friends' children. This is not a fund-raising event for WINGS.

The Fall Harvest Sale provides a variety baked goods, soups, cider and other items for purchase after Masses on a weekend in the Fall. This is a fund-raising event for WINGS.

In addition to the committee, several volunteers are needed to help on the weekend of the sale. Volunteers speak at each Mass to describe what WINGS does and invite women to join our group.
The Christmas Bazaar is a St. Teresa of Calcutta parish event. WINGS is involved in running the kitchen, the bake table, and white elephant sale. A portion of our volunteer effort is a fund-raising event for WINGS.
The Christmas Bazaar Committee works with the WINGS group to plan the kitchen menu, including donations of soups and other items. The committee prepares or purchases food items, coordinates donations, works the kitchen to sell food items, sets up and cleans up. In addition, WINGS provides donations for the bake table and white elephant table, and mans both tables on the day of the bazaar. WINGS receives a portion of the donations for the kitchen sales.
On the fifth Monday of each month, WINGS provides meals at a shelter in Pottstown.
This committee contacts the shelter to coordinate the plans. They are responsible for planning the menu, preparing the meal, and providing other items needed to serve the meal. Based on the needs, WINGS may also serve about 75 individuals.
The purpose of the Retention Committee is to maintain and grow WINGS membership.
This committee encourages active membership in WINGS, so that we can better support our mission of service, spirituality, and fellowship. Committee members follow up with new members and assist them in participating where they feel comfortable. The committee may also follow up with absent members to offer support and invite them to return if they are able.
